Etymology
From Proto-Lucine *su-, Cognate to Proto-Indo-European *só. Sometimes compared to Proto-Uralic *sän (“he, she, it”) and *tä (“that”), Proto-Yukaghir *tuẟe (“he, she, it”), Proto-Turkic *tẹ (“that”), Proto-Mongolic *te (“that”), and Proto-Tungusic *tari (“that”).
