Bemé

Etymology

Although a popular folk etymology of the word is that it is derived from the platform video game Earthworm Jim, the word is actually a clipping of the Yabo word jajim, which itself is borrowed from Malay cacing.

Pronunciation

(Bemetak) IPA: [d͡ʒim]

Noun

jim

  1. worm
