The Remonition was a schism from the Catholic Church which began with the observation that the Trinity is not explicitly taught in the New Testament. The First Remonition was an anti-trinitarian movement and also rejected much of the philosophy that Trinitarian doctrine was based on. The Second Remonition saw the influx of (Mahayana-like) Buddhist and yogic ideas and the rejection of the then-Christian God as ultimate; a Christ was superior to all Gods.
