From Middle Skundavisk ende, from Old Skundavisk endia, aendia, from Halmisk ᚨᚾᛞᛃᚨ (andja), ᚨᚾᛞᛃᚨᛉ (andjaŕ), from Proto-Germanic *andijaz.
